Emotional Landscapes
Emotional Landscapes traces a passage through darkness into light — a journey marked by descent, stillness, and eventual emergence. This body of work reflects both the shifting moods of the natural world and my own experience of depression: the weight of enclosure, the uncertainty of days suspended in shadow, and the fragile moments when light began to break through.
Each photograph marks a stage in that transformation — from the first tentative steps into dawn, through the cocoon of stillness and the depths of despair, toward awakening, renewal, and finally the threshold of understanding. To leave depression behind is not to erase its shadows, but to face them without fear — to heal by allowing sorrow to exist alongside joy. In sharing these landscapes, I invite the viewer not only to witness my own journey of transformation, but also to find echoes of their own within the arc of light and shadow.
